### 二經中之緯者

> Two Sutras: The Weft Amidst the Warp

鼓音聲王經。持阿彌陀佛名。臨命終時。佛與聖眾接引往生。又後出阿彌陀偈經。共五十六句。二經亦專言淨土。言義較前甚略。又鼓音重持呪。偈經伽陀部。皆非教本故。

> The King of Drum Sound Sutra teaches that by holding the name of Amitabha Buddha, when your life draws to an end, the Buddha and the holy assembly will come to welcome you to be reborn in the Pure Land. Additionally, the later "Amitabha Gatha Sutra" contains fifty-six verses. Both of these texts focus exclusively on the Pure Land, but their wording and meaning are much more brief than earlier sutras. Furthermore, the "King of Drum Sound Sutra" emphasizes holding a mantra, and the "Gatha Sutra" belongs to the verse portion—both fail to serve as foundational teachings.
