> Lamenting the Five Clear Texts, Second Repeat

復告善業明兄弟 用心思惟詮妙身各作勇健智船主 渡此流浪他鄉子此是明尊珍貴寶 咸用身船般出海勤醫被刻苦瘡疣 久已悲哀希救護請各慈悲真實受 隨即依數疾還主貴族流浪已多年 速送本鄉安樂處端正光明具相子 早拔離於貪欲藏幽深苦海尋珍寶 奔奉涅槃清淨王抽拔惡刻出瘡痍 洗濯明珠離泥溺法稱所受諸妙供 莊嚴清淨還本主夷數肉血此即是 堪有受者隨意取如其虛妄違負心 夷數自微無雪路憶念戰幖命終時 平等王前莫屈理法相惠明餘諸佛 為此明身常苦惱過去諸佛羅漢等 並為五明置妙法今時雄猛忙儞尊 對我等前皆顯現汝等智惠福德人 必須了悟憐慜性勤行醫藥防所禁 其有苦患令瘳愈戒行威儀恒堅固 持齋禮拜及讚誦身口意業恒清淨 歌唄法言無間歇又復真實行憐愍 柔和忍辱淨諸根此乃並是明身藥 遂免疼悛諸苦惱流浪他鄉一朝客 既能延請令歡喜莊嚴寺舍恒清淨 勤辦衣糧雙出海

> Again, tell the brothers Shanyeming and the others: apply your minds and contemplate the wondrous body. Each of you must become a brave and wise ship's captain, to ferry these children who wander in a foreign land. This is the precious treasure of the Radiant Lord — all of you must use the ship of the body to cross over to the further shore. Diligently heal the wounds and sores of those who are afflicted; for so long they have grieved and hoped for rescue. Each of you, with compassion, must truly receive it and, according to each one's measure, quickly return to the Lord. The noble ones have wandered for many years — swiftly send them back to their homeland, the land of peace and joy. You children of upright and radiant bearing, endowed with noble marks — quickly pull them free from the storehouse of greed and desire. In the deep and vast sea of suffering, seek the precious treasure, and hurry to serve the pure and holy King of Nirvana. Draw out the cruel carvings and bring forth from the wounds; wash the bright pearl and free it from the mud. The wondrous offerings received by Fasheng — adorn them in purity and return them to the original Lord. This is the flesh and blood of Yishu — those worthy to receive may take it as they wish. If anyone should be false and betray their heart, Yishu himself has no path to wipe it away. Remember the battle banner at the time of death — before the King of Equality, do not bend the truth. The Dharma-mark of radiant wisdom and the other Buddhas — for the sake of this radiant body, they constantly endure suffering. The past Buddhas, Arhats, and others — all established the wondrous Dharma for the sake of the Five Radiant Ones. Now the mighty and brave Lord Manyi — before us all, let him appear. You people of wisdom, virtue, and merit — you must understand and awaken to the nature of compassion. Diligently practice medicine and guard against what is forbidden; let those afflicted with suffering be healed. In precepts, conduct, and dignified bearing, always be firm — observe fasting, pay homage, and chant in praise. In body, speech, and mind, always be pure — sing the Dharma words without cease. And again, truly practice compassion — be gentle, patient, and purify all your senses. These are all medicines for the radiant body — thus you escape the pains and miseries of sorrow. A traveler in a foreign land for a single morning — since you have been invited, bring joy. Adorn the temples and halls, always keeping them pure — diligently prepare clothing and provisions, and set out to sea together.
