摩刷下所刮反郭注爾雅云刷掃刷所以清涼也顧野王云刷亦剪剃也說文刷刮也從刀𡰯從省聲刮音關八反。

> Brush.<note place="inline">The lower part is pronounced as "gua." According to Guo Pu's commentary on the Erya, it says: "Brush, sweep, brush, used for cleaning and cooling." Gu Yewang says: "Brush also means to trim or shave." The Shuowen states: "Brush, to scrape." It is composed of the radical for knife and the character "𡰯," with the pronunciation derived from a simplified form. "Gua" is pronounced as "guan ba fan."</note>
