### 九祖伏䭾密多尊者凡一

> Ninth Patriarch, Venerable Buddhamitra<note>Total: 1</note>

生來五十年。唯坐一床。口不曾言。足不曾履。聞偈悟道。傳法度生。

> Born fifty years ago, I have sat on a single bed all my life. My mouth has never spoken, and my feet have never walked. Upon hearing the verse, I awakened to the truth, transmitted the Dharma, and delivered sentient beings.

有難生者。投師出家。長坐不臥。通達法性。

> There was one who, finding it difficult to be born, left home to become a monk under a teacher. He practiced sitting continuously without lying down, and thereby penetrated the true nature of reality.

祖付法眼。而說偈云。真理本無名。因名顯真理。受得真真法。非真亦非偽。

> The ancestral transmission of the Dharma Eye, expressed in verse: The ultimate truth is originally nameless, Yet names reveal it to us. When one receives the true Dharma, It is neither real nor false.
