### 二十二祖摩拏羅尊者凡一

> Twenty-second Patriarch, Venerable Manura<note>All in One</note>

捨王宮樂。出家證道。往月氏國。有鶴勒那者。問云。龍子何聦。鶴眾何惑。祖告其宿因。心即開悟。復云。我今當修何業。令此鶴眾。轉得人身。祖云。佛有無上法寶。展轉相傳。今付於汝。廣度有情。鶴眾因此而得解脫。

> He renounced the pleasures of the royal palace and left home to attain the Way. Traveling to the country of Yuezhi, there was a man named Henlena who asked, "Why is the dragon prince so wise, while the flock of cranes remains so deluded?" The Patriarch explained their past causes, and his mind immediately opened to awakening. Henlena then asked, "What practice should I now cultivate to help these cranes gain rebirth as humans?" The Patriarch replied, "The Buddha has the supreme Dharma treasure, passed down from one to another. Now I entrust it to you, to broadly deliver sentient beings." Because of this, the flock of cranes attained liberation.

後付法眼。而說偈云。心隨萬境轉。轉處實能幽。隨流認得性。無喜亦無憂。

> He then bequeathed the Dharma-Eye and spoke this verse: The mind turns with myriad conditions, Yet in its turning, truly profound. Following the flow, one recognizes the nature— No joy, no sorrow.
