> Chapter 1: Lamenting the Longing for Home, the Pearl Not Yet Found

擕明是今日。感應在明陽。想思深洞盡。企子實難當。朝憶生眷戀。夕望動心傷。若期靈樹下。度脫不相忘。惡見孤憔悴。俱願普趨鏘。雙飛白日頂。出氣紫雲光。神龍左右梵。散華來芬芳。菲菲常樂境。藹藹昇金堂。

> The bright day has come today, And grace responds in the glowing sun. Deep thoughts pierce through the caverns of my mind, But the weight of this burden is truly hard to bear. At dawn, I recall those I love with tender longing; At dusk, I gaze afar, and my heart aches with sorrow. If only we could meet beneath the sacred tree, Where liberation awaits, and we would never forget each other. A lonely figure, worn by grief and despair, Yet all wish to step forward together, in unison. We soar side by side beneath the white sun, Breathing out clouds of purple radiance. Dragon spirits guard left and right, Scattering blossoms that fill the air with fragrant bloom. This is the realm of everlasting joy, Where all ascend, gentle and bright, to the golden hall.
