### 劒門慈雲重謐禪師嗣首山念

僧問。如何是和尚家風。師竪起拂子。僧云。究竟如何。曰。煎茶煑水。云。好日多同。曰。休更忉忉。　問。如何是祖師西來意。曰。紅輪輝萬戶。綠水遶青山。

> A monk asked, "What is your noble house's way of doing things?" The master held up his whisk. The monk pressed further, "What is the ultimate truth?" The master replied, "Boil tea, heat water." The monk said, "Every day is much the same." The master said, "Stop your idle chatter." Another monk asked, "What was the original intention of the Patriarch coming from the West?" The master replied, "The red sun shines upon ten thousand homes, and green waters surround the blue mountains."
