### 筠州洞山微禪師

> Master Wei of Dongshan, Junzhou

上堂曰。日暖風和柳眼青。冰消魚躍浪花生。當鋒妙得空王印。半夜崑崙戴雪行。僧問。如何是默默相應底事。曰。瘂子喫苦瓜。

> The Master ascended the hall and said: "The sun is warm, the breeze is gentle, the willow buds are green. The ice has melted, fish leap and waves blossom. At the cutting edge, one subtly attains the seal of the Empty King. At midnight, Mount Kunlun walks crowned with snow." A monk asked: "What is the matter of silently responding in mutual accord?" The Master said: "A mute eating bitter melon."
