### 贈奇松頭歌

> Song of the Gifted Pine

種松道者道情孤。往箇茅庵事事無。屋內鋤頭三兩枘。煙熏一隻醋葫蘆。問渠禪。回首指山前。問渠道。戴箇篛笠去鋤艸。再三再四再問渠。拍手呵呵笑欲倒。却言昔日老雲門。參見睦州陳長老。

> The Pine-Planting Ascetic lived in solitude, In a thatched hut with nothing to attend. Inside, a hoe or two leaned by the wall, A vinegar gourd, smoke-blackened, hung tall. Asked of Zen, he turned and pointed to the hills ahead. Asked of the Way, he donned his bamboo hat to weed instead. Again and again they pressed him for reply— He clapped and laughed until he nearly fell awry. Then said: "Long ago, old Yunmen met Master Chen of Muzhou, and that was it."
