The "Admonitions on Pure Practice," also known as the "Zhaoying Collection," is a Pure Land Buddhist work compiled by the Qing Dynasty monk Zhaoying. This text emerged during the Qing Dynasty, a period when Pure Land faith was widely popular, with the aim of urging practitioners to diligently recite the Buddha's name and seek rebirth in the Western Pure Land. Its main content gathers the essential teachings of Pure Land scriptures and the exhortations of great masters, earnestly pointing out the suffering of birth, death, and rebirth, and fervently encouraging deep faith, sincere aspiration, and steadfast recitation of the Buddha's name. It serves as a highly practical guide for Pure Land practice. Among Pure Land Buddhist texts, "Admonitions on Pure Practice" stands out for its sincere and straightforward admonitory style, making it an important supplementary reading for urging practitioners in their cultivation of pure karma, with strong practical guidance value.
