爾時佛陀難提尊者。頂有肉珠。光明瑩徹。智慧淵冲。辯捷無礙。

有伏䭾蜜多而問曰。父母非我親。誰是最親者。諸佛非我道。誰是最道者。

> Fumitamitra asked, “My parents are not my true kin, so who is my closest relative? The Buddhas are not my path, so what is the true path?”

師曰。汝言與心親。父母非可比。汝行與道合。諸佛心即是。外求有相佛。與汝不相似。欲識汝本心。非合亦非離。

> The Master said: "You speak of what's closest to the heart—parents cannot compare. Your actions align with the Path—the Buddha-mind is right here. To seek a Buddha with form outside yourself— That Buddha will never match who you truly are. If you wish to know your own original mind, It is neither united nor separate from you."

伏䭾聞是妙偈。頓入佛道。五體投地。深自慶躍。即與剃度。付正法眼藏。而說偈言。

虗空無內外 心外亦如此若了虗空故 是達真如理
