### 潭州大溈易菴應禪師

> Chan Master Yi'an Ying of Dawei, Tanzhou

上堂。春已半夜猶寒。遲遲煦日上欄杆。清淺聲隨流水濕。輕柔風動野雲翻。晴和暖綠陰繁。花放南枝向北看。大眾。森羅起舞。樂則同歡　示眾。搖風柳眼如青黛。浥露桃腮似火紅。實相深譚梁燕語。袈裟齩破五更鐘　示眾。倒騎鐵馬上須彌。信步披離絕所之。及頂凝眸天外看。百千諸佛下泥犂。

> Master says: Spring is already half over, yet the nights remain cold. The slow, warm sun climbs the railing. Shallow waters murmur as they flow. A gentle breeze stirs the wild clouds. Clear skies and warm air, lush greenery flourishing. Blossoms open on the southern branches, turning northward to gaze. Great assembly, all phenomena are dancing—when there is joy, let us rejoice together. Master says: The willow's eyes sway in the wind, dark as indigo. The peach's cheeks glisten with dew, red as fire. True reality is deeply discussed by the swallows' chatter. The patched robe is torn apart by the dawn bell. Master says: Riding an iron horse backwards, I ascend Mount Sumeru. Strolling freely, unattached, with nowhere to go. Reaching the peak, I gaze beyond the heavens—a hundred thousand Buddhas descend into the muddy furrows.
