作別江頭五載餘。 海邊相訪未嫌迃。 山林意與世幾絕。丘壑姿逢秋更癯。 約我道耕新活計。輟君詩戰老工夫。 兒婚女嫁誰家事。 居士有心從馬駒。

> Five years since we parted at the river's edge, You visit me by the sea—no need to feel it's far. My heart dwells in mountains and forests, almost severed from the world, My body, like autumn hills, grows leaner still. You told me to cultivate the Way—a new livelihood— While you set aside your old craft of poetry and war. Whose business is it, marrying off sons and daughters? A layperson's heart can follow the colt.
