> Moonlit Hall Request Verse

畦衣我是出塵人。 卜築高堂與月隣。 床上金刀香剪桂。篋中玉斧冷修輪。 寒癯破夢無嫌病。清白傳家不愧貧。 門外潮平舡著棹。 點頭老兔靜分身。

> I wear plain cloth, a renunciant from the world. I build a high hall, neighbor to the moon. A golden knife by the bed, fragrant, trims the cassia. In a case, a jade ax, cooling, mends the moon's wheel. Frail and cold, even broken dreams don't bother me, free of sickness. Pure integrity passes down the family line, never ashamed of poverty. Beyond the gate, the tide is calm, a boat is moored with its oar. The old rabbit nods, quietly divides its form.
