> Paying Homage to the Stupa of Third Patriarch Chan Master Zhijian

道無揀擇。 水深山嶷。 祖無出沒。 月寒天碧。不萌枝上覺華春。 無影樹頭靈鳥宅。 天柱巍峩兮星河瀉清。 石牛哮吼兮洞雲生白。

> The Way makes no distinction. Deep water, lofty peaks. The Ancestor neither appears nor vanishes. A cold moon, a vast blue sky. On a branch that never sprouts, the flower of awakening blooms in spring. In a tree without shadow, the spirit-bird makes its home. The celestial pillar stands tall; the Milky Way pours down, clear. The stone ox roars; from the cave, white clouds arise.
