> The Vast Elder

龐老云。十方同聚會。箇箇學無為。此是選佛場。心空及第歸。未能空心。且勤念佛。念念不已。心當自空。

> Master Pang said: "Gathered here from all directions, Each one studies the effortless way. This is the place to realize Buddhahood— When the mind is empty, you pass the test and return." If you cannot yet empty your mind, then diligently practice mindful recitation of the Buddha's name. Recite continuously without stopping, and in time, your mind will naturally become empty.
