袾宏下劣凡夫。安分守愚。平生所務。惟是南無阿彌陀佛。六字。今老矣。倘有問者。必以此答。猶恐無徵。涉於臆見。況復衰病。艱於語言。謹將佛菩薩所說經論。及古今諸大知識。大居士等。種種著述。題名開後幸隨所見詳閱而深玩焉。可信與否。惟高明裁之。

> Zhu Hong, a humble and unworthy ordinary person, simply keeps to his place and upholds an innocent mind. All my life, my sole practice has been the six syllables: "Namo Amitabha Buddha." Now that I am old, if anyone asks me about the Way, I always answer with this. Yet I worry that without scriptural evidence, it might seem like mere personal opinion. Moreover, due to declining health and failing speech, I find it difficult to elaborate. Therefore, I have respectfully listed below the titles of various sutras and commentaries spoken by the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, as well as the writings of great teachers and lay practitioners from ancient and modern times. Visited with what you see here, and deeply contemplate it. Whether this is trustworthy or not, I leave to your wise judgment.
