> Poem on Flowers

花。千枝萬葩紅燦錦。彩鋪霞。陪羅綺席。戀王孫家。曉露新粧濕。春風舞袖斜。青帝俄歸幻化。玉容已付塵沙。洛陽園上無顏色。西土池中有物華。

> Flowers. A thousand branches, ten thousand blooms, a brocade of red splendor. Colors spread like sunset clouds, adorning feasts of silk, enchanting the noble scions’ homes. Morning dew dampens freshly adorned faces, spring breezes make dancing sleeves sway. But soon the Green Emperor¹ returns to the realm of illusion, and jade-like beauty is surrendered to dust and sand.
