臣聞。三乘路廣。法界無涯。智海晏清。十方安泰。時有魔軍兢起。侵撓心田。六賊既強。心王驚動。朝生百怪。暮起千邪。撼惑真如。困勞法體。菩提道路。隔絕不通。破壞涅槃。傷殘三寶。無為珠玉。悉被偷將。大藏法財。皆遭劫奪。塵勞翳日。欲火亘天。飄蕩法城。焚燒聖境。臣乃見如斯暴亂。恐佛法以難存。遂與六波羅蜜商量。同為剪滅。遣性空為密使。聽探魔軍。見今屯在五蘊山中。有八萬四千餘眾。既知體勢。計在剎那。遂點十八界雄兵。並立體空為號。人人有無礙之力。箇箇懷勇健之能。直心為見性之功。一正去百邪之亂。擐堅固甲。執三昧鏘。智箭禪弓光明慧劒。向大乘門中訓練。寂滅山內安營。三明嶺上開旗。八正路邊排布。遣大覺性。為捉生之將。遊歷四方。搜求妄想之踪。抄截無明之蹟。復使慈悲王。破三毒之寨。忍辱帥伐嗔怒之城。精進軍除傲慢之妖。喜捨士捉慳貪之賊。逡巡而魔軍大起。殺氣衝天。臣乃部領摩訶。一時齊入。當爾之時。眼不觀色。耳不聽聲。鼻不嗅香。舌不了味。身不受觸。意不攀緣。一志向前。念念不退。倏忽而魔軍大敗。六賊全輸。殺戮無邊。掃除蕩盡。生擒妄想。活捉無明。領向涅槃場中。以慧劍斬為三段。煩惱林當時摧折。人我山化作微塵。癡愛網遭智火焚燒。邪見林被慧風吹竭。因茲三明再朗。四智重圓。內外無瑕。廓然清淨。心王坐歡喜之殿。真如登解脫之樓。自性遊無礙之堂。三身踞法空之座。從茲法界寧靜。永絕囂塵。共渡生死之河。齊到菩提之岸。魔軍既退。合具奏聞。

> I have heard that the paths of the Three Vehicles are vast, and the Dharma realm is boundless. The ocean of wisdom is calm and clear, and the ten directions are peaceful and secure. However, there are now demon armies rising in competition, invading and disturbing the field of the mind. The six thieves have grown strong, alarming the king of the mind. In the morning, a hundred strange phenomena arise; in the evening, a thousand evils emerge. They shake and confuse true suchness, exhausting and troubling the Dharma body. The road to enlightenment becomes blocked and impassable. They destroy nirvana and injure the Three Jewels. The precious jewels of the unconditioned are all stolen away; the wealth of the great treasury of Dharma is all plundered. The dust of afflictions obscures the sun; the fire of desire reaches to the heavens. They toss about the city of Dharma and burn the sacred realms. Witnessing such violence and chaos, I feared that the Buddha-Dharma might be difficult to preserve. Therefore, I consulted with the Six Perfections and together we planned to subdue and eliminate them. I sent Emptiness of Nature as a secret envoy to spy on the demon armies. It was discovered that they are now stationed in the mountain of the five aggregates, with over eighty-four thousand troops. Having understood their situation, I knew the decisive moment had come. I then mustered the mighty army of the eighteen realms, all under the banner of Emptiness of Essence. Each soldier possesses unobstructed power; each one holds brave and vigorous abilities. Straightforward mind is the merit of seeing one's nature; one truth dispels the chaos of a hundred evils. They donned the armor of steadfastness and grasped the spear of samadhi. With the arrows of wisdom, the bow of meditation, and the bright sword of insight, they trained within the gate of the Great Vehicle and encamped in the mountain of cessation. They raised their banners on the peak of the three insights and arrayed themselves along the path of the eightfold right way. I dispatched Great Awakening Nature as the general to capture prisoners, roaming the four directions to search for the traces of deluded thoughts and intercept the tracks of ignorance. Furthermore, I sent the King of Compassion to destroy the fortress of the three poisons, the Commander of Patience to assault the city of anger, the Army of Diligence to eliminate the demons of arrogance, and the Warriors of Joyful Giving to capture the thieves of greed and stinginess. Suddenly, the demon armies rose in great force, their killing aura soaring to the heavens. I then led the great assembly, and we all advanced together at once. At that time, the eyes did not perceive forms, the ears did not hear sounds, the nose did not smell fragrances, the tongue did not discern tastes, the body did not experience contact, and the mind did not grasp at objects. With single-minded determination pressing forward, thought after thought without retreating, in an instant the demon armies were utterly defeated, and the six thieves were completely vanquished. Countless were slain, swept away and cleansed entirely. Deluded thoughts were captured alive; ignorance was seized. They were brought before the ground of nirvana and cut into three pieces by the sword of wisdom. The forest of afflictions was immediately felled; the mountain of self and others was reduced to fine dust. The net of ignorance and craving was burned by the fire of wisdom; the forest of wrong views was withered by the wind of insight. Thus, the three insights shone brightly again, and the four wisdoms were fully restored. Internally and externally flawless, vast and perfectly pure, the king of the mind sits in the hall of joy, true suchness ascends the tower of liberation, the self-nature roams the hall of unobstructed freedom, and the three bodies rest upon the seat of Dharma emptiness. From this point, the Dharma realm becomes tranquil and peaceful, forever free from clamor and dust. Together we cross the river of birth and death and all arrive at the shore of enlightenment. Now that the demon armies have retreated, I present this report for your consideration.
