### 黃檗上堂。大眾纔集。以拄杖一時趕散。復召云。大眾。大眾回首。檗云。月似彎弓。少雨多風

> Huangbo ascended the hall. As the assembly gathered, he drove them away with his staff, then called out, "Assembly! Assembly!" When they turned back, Huangbo said, "The moon is like a bent bow — little rain, much wind."

萬仞雄關絕四鄰。不通來往峭嶙峋。可憐南北貪程者。風雨淒淒愁殺人。

> Ten-thousand-ren mighty pass, cut off from all neighbors, No passage to and fro—sheer cliffs, jagged and severe. How pitiful those south and north, rushing for the road, Through wind and rain, bleak and drear, their sorrow kills the heart.
