### 智不是道

> Wisdom is Not the Path

南泉云。心不是佛。智不是道。

> Nanquan said: "The mind is not the Buddha; wisdom is not the path."

無門曰。南泉可謂。老不識羞。纔開臭口。家醜外揚。然雖如是。知恩者少。

> Wumen says: Nanquan truly knew no shame in his old age. The moment he opened his stinking mouth, he aired his family's dirty laundry. Even so, few understand his kindness.

頌曰。

> The verse says:

天晴日頭出 雨下地上濕盡情都說了 只恐信不及

> The sky clears, the sun comes out. When rain falls, the ground gets wet. I've said it all as plainly as can be— My only fear is you won't believe.
