### 黃龍三關

> The Three Gates of Huanglong

我手何似佛手。 摸得枕頭背後。 不覺大笑呵呵。元來通身是手。

> My hand—how does it resemble the Buddha's hand? It touches the pillow from behind. Before I know it, I burst into laughter— Turns out, the whole body is a hand.

我脚何似驢脚。 未舉步時踏著。 一任四海橫行。倒跨楊岐三脚。

> My foot—how is it like a donkey's foot? Before even taking a step, it's already trodden. Let it roam freely across the four seas. Riding backwards on Yangqi's three-legged \[donkey\].

人人有箇生緣。 各各透徹機先。 那吒折骨還父。五祖豈藉爺緣。

> Everyone has their own origin of life. Each one sees through what lies before the trigger. Nezha breaks his bones and returns them to his father— The Fifth Patriarch never relied on his father's connection.

佛手驢脚生緣。 非佛非道非禪。 莫怪無門關險。結盡衲子深冤。

> The Buddha's hand and the donkey's foot — all arise from conditions. Neither Buddha, nor the Path, nor Zen. Do not blame the Gateless Gate for its steepness — It seals the deep karmic ties of every monk.
