> The Matter of the Girdle

夫日月照臨不到。天地覆載不著。劫火壞時彼常安。萬法泯時全體露。隨緣不變。處鬧常寧。一道恩光。阿誰無分。華嚴經云。剎說眾生說。三世國土一時說古德著語云。覓火和烟得。檐泉帶月歸石長無根樹。山含不動雲。

> Even the light of the sun and moon cannot reach it. Heaven and earth cannot cover or support it. When the fires of kalpas consume the world, it remains at peace. When all phenomena vanish, its essence is fully revealed. It adapts to conditions yet never changes, dwells in noise yet is always serene. This single beam of grace— who among us does not share in it? As the \*Avataṃsaka Sūtra\* says: “Lands speak, beings speak, all realms of past, present, and future speak at once.”
