我手何似佛手。 不用思前算後。 世間多少癡人。只是隨人背走。

> My hand, how like the Buddha's hand? No need to ponder or look back. So many foolish people in the world Just follow others and turn their backs.

我脚何似驢脚。 擬議遭他毒藥。 又見白衣拜相。從前更無官爵。

> My foot, how like a donkey's foot? To ponder this is to taste his poison. Again I see a commoner become prime minister— In times past, he held no rank or title.

人人有箇生緣。 桑梓人物駢闐。 借問東隣西舍。西天十萬八千。

> Everyone has their place of origin, With hometown scenes and bustling kin. Ask the neighbors east and west: The Western Heaven is ten thousand miles distant.
