### 雲門宗

> Yunmen School

師諱文偃。嘉興張氏子。受具遊方。初參睦州陳尊宿。發明心要。州指見雪峯存禪師。再蒙印可。初至靈樹。開法嗣雪峯。後遷雲門光泰寺。其道大振。天下學者。望風而至。號雲門宗。

> The Master's name was Wenyan. He was born into the Zhang family of Jiaxing. After receiving full ordination, he traveled to study under various teachers. He first sought guidance from Elder Chen of Muzhou, who helped him realize the essence of mind. Elder Chen then directed him to meet Chan Master Cun of Xuefeng, where he received further confirmation. He initially taught at Lingshu Temple, succeeding Xuefeng's lineage. Later, he moved to Guangtai Temple on Yunmen Mountain, where his teachings flourished greatly. Students from across the land came in admiration, forming what became known as the Yunmen School.
