> Correcting the Errors in the Five Positions of Silent Sound<note>Newly added</note>

寂音曰。道愈陵遲。至於列位之名件。亦訛亂不次。如正中偏偏中正又正中來偏中至。然後以兼中到總成五位。今乃易偏中至為兼中至。不曉其何義耶。而老師大衲。亦恬然不知怪。為可笑也文字禪題雲居弘覺語。

> Jiyin said: "The Way has declined more and more, to the point where even the names and categories of the ranks have become confused and disordered. For example, there are 'the upright within the partial,' 'the partial within the upright,' then 'coming from the upright,' 'arriving from the partial,' and finally 'arriving at the integrated' to complete the five ranks. Yet now they have changed 'arriving from the partial' to 'arriving at the integrated from the partial.' I do not understand what this means. And the great teachers and senior monks are also calmly unaware of the strangeness of it—truly laughable."
