釋迦如來。住世說法。三百餘會。諸經皆以結歸淨土。葢為眾生貪戀世間。以苦為樂。自甘沉湎。不求出離。是故世尊於此法門。諄諄垂誨不已。恒沙如來出廣長舌相。說誠實言。同音稱讚。所謂諸三昧中。唯念佛三昧。最為直捷。今觀淨土指歸一集。廼僧錄右善世啟宗法師所編。分立諸題。若經之要旨。論之發明。洎古今禪講宗師。及諸名賢。力行實證之言。纖悉具備。使修學之人覽此。而開決疑情。發明正信。遨遊於諸佛性海者。莫不由斯集焉。四明翠岩無象原公。刊梓流行。為它日蓮池勝集之張本。志可尚矣。

> Shakyamuni Buddha, while living in this world, gave countless teachings over more than three hundred assemblies. All the sutras ultimately point toward rebirth in the Pure Land. This is because sentient beings cling to the worldly realm, mistaking suffering for happiness. They willingly sink into indulgence, unwilling to seek liberation. Therefore, the World-Honored One tirelessly taught this Dharma door again and again. Buddhas as numerous as the sands of the Ganges extend their vast and far-reaching tongues, speaking true words, praising it with one voice. It is said: among all samadhis, the Buddha-recitation samadhi is the most direct and swift. Now, we have the collection "Pure Land Direct Pointers," compiled by Dharma Master Qizong, who held the position of Right Good Worldly Teacher in the Monastic Registry. The text is organized under various headings, covering the essential points of the sutras, the insights of the treatises, and the words of ancient and modern Chan and doctrinal masters, as well as eminent scholars who practiced and realized the truth through personal effort. Everything is included in full detail, so that those who study and cultivate can open their minds and resolve their doubts, develop true faith, and roam freely within the ocean of the Buddhas' nature. All of this becomes possible through this collection. The Venerable Yuan Gong of Cuidong Temple in Siming, who was known as Wuxiang, sponsored the carving and printing of this text for circulation. This serves as the foundation for the future grand assembly of the Lotus Pool. His aspiration is truly worthy of respect.
