### 妙華顯瑞

> Wonderful Lotus Revealing Auspiciousness

宋宗利。居新城碧沼。修念佛三昧。後忽謂弟子曰。吾見碧蓮華徧滿空中。三日復曰。佛來矣。奄然而化。

還謹按見蓮華者甚眾。猶疑想念所致也。他如道綽之天花下散。僧叡之榻前金蓮。太公之棺上蓮華。眾皆見之。想念云乎哉。近有𭬥李陶氏棺生青蓮五華。又甚奇矣。

> <note>Further</note> It is carefully observed that many have seen lotuses. Some might doubt whether these were merely products of the mind’s imagination. Yet consider the cases of Daochuo, where celestial flowers scattered down; Sengrui, where golden lotuses appeared before his bed; and Taigong, where lotuses bloomed on his coffin. All these were witnessed by many—can they be dismissed as mere imagination? Recently, a woman surnamed Tao from Zhaoli had five green lotuses grow from her coffin—an even more extraordinary occurrence.

考證道綽

唐道綽。并州人。篤志淨土。六時禮敬不缺。念佛日以七萬為限。貞觀二年。四月初八日。歸寂。聞而赴者。見化佛住空。天花下散焉。僧叡

> Master Daochuo of the Tang Dynasty, a native of Bingzhou, was deeply devoted to the Pure Land practice. He paid homage at all six periods of the day without fail, and daily recited the Buddha's name up to seventy thousand times. In the second year of the Zhenguan era, on the eighth day of the fourth month, he passed away in stillness. Those who heard the news and came to mourn saw a manifested Buddha remaining in the sky, with heavenly flowers scattering down. The monk named Rui.

晉僧叡。冀州人。預廬山蓮社。宋元嘉十六年。合掌而化。眾見叡榻前。一金蓮華。倐爾而隱。五色香烟。從其房出。太公

大明蓮華太公者。越人。晝夜念佛不絕。命終之後。棺上忽生蓮華一枝。親里驚嘆。因號蓮華太公云。陶氏
