慈雲云。五濁得道為難。淨土修行則易。今以淨土十易揀示之○淨土指歸。一。常得見佛。無量壽佛成道已來。經十大劫。常住不滅故。二。常聞法音。佛及菩薩。樹林水鳥。常宣法故。三。聖賢集會。觀音勢至。為其勝友。諸上善人俱會一處故。四。遠離魔事。雖有天魔。皆護佛法。令修行人。速成就故。五。不受輪迴。蓮華化生。無復輪轉生死苦趣故。六。永離惡道。彼佛國土。無三惡道。名字尚不聞故。七。勝緣助道。瓊樓玉殿。珍衣美饌。皆為助道之資具故。八。壽命無量。眾生壽量。與佛齊等。人天凡夫盡其智力莫知其數故。九。入正定聚。眾生生者。皆是阿󳺎䟦致。無退轉故。十。一生行滿。常隨佛學。一生當得無上菩提故。

> The Compassionate Cloud (Ciyun) Master said: In the world of the Five Defilements, attaining enlightenment is difficult, but practicing in the Pure Land is easy. Here, I present ten ways in which the Pure Land is easier, to guide and encourage practitioners. \*\*The Pure Land's Ten Advantages\*\* \*\*First: You can always see the Buddha.\*\* Amitayus Buddha has been enlightened for ten great kalpas and dwells forever without passing away. \*\*Second: You can always hear the Dharma.\*\* The Buddha, Bodhisattvas, forests, rivers, birds—all constantly proclaim the teachings. \*\*Third: You are in the company of saints and sages.\*\* Avalokitesvara and Mahasthamaprapta are your excellent friends, and all superior good people gather together in one place. \*\*Fourth: You are far from demonic obstacles.\*\* Even if there are heavenly demons, they all protect the Dharma, helping practitioners achieve success quickly. \*\*Fifth: You are free from the cycle of rebirth.\*\* You are born from lotus flowers, and there is no more turning through the suffering realms of birth and death. \*\*Sixth: You are forever separated from the evil realms.\*\* In that Buddha's land, there are no three evil destinations—their very names are never heard. \*\*Seventh: Superior conditions support your practice.\*\* Magnificent towers and jade halls, precious garments and fine food—all of these serve as aids to your spiritual path. \*\*Eighth: Your lifespan is immeasurable.\*\* The lifespan of beings there equals that of the Buddha himself. Even humans and gods at their greatest mental capacity cannot fathom its length. \*\*Ninth: You enter the stage of irreversible progress.\*\* All beings born there reach the stage of non-retrogression and never fall back. \*\*Tenth: Your practice is fulfilled in one lifetime.\*\* You constantly follow the Buddha's teachings, and in that single lifetime, you will attain supreme enlightenment.
