The "Amoghapāśa Dhāraṇī Sūtra" translated by Li Wuchan in the Tang Dynasty is an important esoteric scripture of Mahayana Buddhism. Originating from India, it belongs to the series of teachings associated with the Bodhisattva Guanyin and expounds the sacred mantra of the Unfailing Lasso along with its merits and benefits. The sutra elaborates in detail that reciting this dhāraṇī can eliminate karmic obstacles, increase blessings and wisdom, avert calamities, and accomplish both worldly and transcendental practices. It holds a revered position in Buddhism, serving as a key foundation for esoteric practice, embodying the compassion and divine power of Bodhisattva Guanyin, and exerting a profound influence on the development of esoteric Buddhism in China.
