The *Lu Wai Jing Deng Mulu* (Catalog of Scriptures Outside the Canon, etc.) is an ancient Chinese Buddhist catalog, traditionally attributed to the Tang Dynasty monk Daoxuan, though the original text has been lost. This catalog primarily compiles scriptures that were not included in the orthodox Buddhist canon at the time, including apocryphal or doubtful sutras, lost texts, and some works transmitted from regions outside China. Its compilation reflects both the rigor and inclusiveness of Buddhist textual organization in the Tang Dynasty, providing important historical clues for the study of the transmission of Buddhist scriptures and the identification of apocryphal texts. Although the original work no longer exists, references in later catalogs allow us to glimpse its profound influence on Buddhist bibliography. It remains a key reference for understanding the formation and evolution of Chinese Buddhist scriptures.
