第一、釋名者，說者談說，謂能說者得陀羅尼，於一字中一剎那，須能持能說一切法門，況一切時中一切字中？經者，貫穿所說，攝持所化如常說也。時者，說聽究竟之時，謂始成正覺時，一剎那或無量劫，融通無礙，具攝一切，無不皆攝云云。

> First: Explanation of Title. "The Speaker" refers to the one who teaches. This teacher has attained the power of memory and eloquence (dharani). Within a single syllable, in a single instant, they can retain and teach all principles and practices. How much more so, then, across all times and all words? "Sutra" means a thread that strings together the teachings, guiding and embracing those who are being instructed. <note>This is as it is always explained.</note> "Time" refers to the precise moment when the teaching is given and received. This begins at the very moment of attaining enlightenment. A single instant or countless ages can merge without obstruction, fully containing all things without exception. <note>And so on.</note>
