The *Commentary on the Treatise of the Ten Grounds Sutra* was composed by the eminent Sui dynasty monk Huiyuan, serving as an authoritative exegesis on Vasubandhu Bodhisattva’s *Treatise on the Ten Grounds Sutra*. This work systematically elucidates the stages and states of the bodhisattva’s cultivation through the ten grounds, from the Joyful Ground to the Dharma Cloud Ground. It integrates Yogācāra thought, emphasizing the realization of “consciousness-only without external objects” and the transformation of consciousness into wisdom. During the Sui and Tang periods, when Buddhist doctrinal studies flourished, this commentary became an essential text for researching the *Treatise on the Ten Grounds Sutra* and the Vijñānavāda school. It influenced the development of the Huayan school and the Di-lun tradition, standing as a core work for understanding the Mahāyāna bodhisattva path system, and holds profound value in Buddhist philosophy and history.
