### 一乘決疑論說

> Explanation of the One Vehicle, Resolving Doubts

欲得不招無間業。莫謗如來正法輪。此古德大慈悲心淚出痛腸語也。良以我釋迦如來。為眾生故。修證此法。無央數劫。行諸一切難行法行。捨所愛之國城妻子頭目腦髓。不知其幾千萬億。至於道成。仍以平等大悲。順悉檀義而敷衍之。故凡一句一字。皆無明長夜之寶炬。生死苦海之慈航。凡在有情。孰不蒙益。而諸子以依通之見。肆口詆訶。障正法明。瞎將來眼。疑誤眾生。殊非小小。謂其無罪。寧有是處。茲以一乘之理。剖決羣疑。正大光明。直截痛快。蕩迷雲而淨盡。耀佛日以重光。誠為法門一大金湯矣。當是時也。諸子天眼法執。果得已通已忘。自能深生隨喜正使未忘未通。定當頓獲勝益。故知此論之作。非特有益於法門。實則有益於諸子。不唯有益於諸子。且深有益於天下後世之學者。請即流通以廣法施。

> If you wish to avoid incurring the karma of Avīci hell, do not slander the true Dharma wheel of the Tathāgata. These are words spoken by the ancient sage from a compassionate heart, tears streaming from the depths of pain. Truly, for the sake of living beings, our Śākyamuni Tathāgata cultivated and realized this Dharma through countless eons, practicing all manner of difficult practices. He gave up his kingdoms, cities, wives, children, head, eyes, brain, and marrow—times beyond measure. After attaining the path, with equal great compassion, he expounded the teachings in accordance with the meaning of the Four Siddhāntas. Therefore, every word and phrase is a precious torch in the long night of ignorance and a compassionate vessel across the sea of birth and death. Which living being does not benefit? Yet some, with the view of conditioned intellect, recklessly slander and obstruct the light of the true Dharma, blinding the eyes of future generations, misleading and confusing beings—this is no small offense. To say they have no fault—is that reasonable? Now, using the principle of the One Vehicle, we analyze and resolve all doubts—clear, bright, direct, thorough, sweeping away the clouds of confusion completely, shining the sun of the Buddha anew. Truly, this treatise is a great protective shield for the Dharma. At that time, if these individuals have already opened their Dharma-eye and let go of their attachment to views, they will naturally rejoice deeply. Even if they have not yet let go or opened their eye, they will surely instantly attain supreme benefit. Therefore, we understand that the composition of this treatise not only benefits the Dharma but also benefits these individuals themselves. Moreover, it not only benefits them but also deeply benefits scholars of future generations throughout the world. Please circulate it widely to spread the Dharma offering.
