> Vows

立心堅固勿循情。誡止閑非不妄行。淨業功多應努力。塵緣過重必須輕。欲令彼國蓮華大。全在當人道念成。發願往生親見佛。速來救苦出迷城。

> Establish your resolve firmly, and do not follow emotional impulses. Guard against idleness and wrongdoing, and do not act carelessly. Accumulate pure karma through diligent effort; as worldly entanglements weigh heavily, you must let them go lightly. If you wish for the lotus blossoms of that Pure Land to be grand, it depends entirely on the cultivation of the practitioner's mind. Make the vow to be reborn there and personally see the Buddha, So that you may quickly come to rescue beings from suffering and lead them out of the city of delusion.
