The Jing Shi Di Ru Ji (Dripping Milk from the Stone Path Collection) was compiled by the monk Zhen Zai during the Qing dynasty, with subsequent additions by Ji Yun, and was completed in the early Qing period. This work belongs to the genre of Chan (Zen) discourse records, compiling the opportunity dialogues, instructional teachings, and commentary on public cases of eminent Chan masters from the Song to the early Qing dynasties. Its contents encompass methods of meditation, the tempering of mind and nature, and the experience of Chan awakening. Its compilation continues the Chan tradition of transmitting the lamp, aiming to guide practitioners and illuminate their inherent nature. As an important Chan text, it reflects the evolution of Chan style during the Ming-Qing transition, holding significant value for the study of Chan intellectual history and practice. It serves as a key text for understanding the teaching methods and transmission within the Chan school of that period.
