### 晉周閔

江南人也。晉護軍將軍。世奉法。蘇峻之亂。都邑人士。皆東西被遷。聞家有大品。以半幅八丈素。反覆書之。又有餘經數臺。大品亦雜在其中。既當避難行。不能得盡持去。尤諸大品。不知在何臺中。倉卒應去。不展尋橡。徘徊歎吒。不覺大品忽自出外。閔驚喜持去。周氏遂世寶之。今云。尚在一說云。周嵩婦胡母。有素書大品。素廣五寸。而大品一部書在矣。

> The man was from Jiangnan. He served as a Protective General of the Jin Dynasty and the family had long been devoted to Buddhism. During the rebellion of Su Jun, everyone in the capital was forced to flee east or west. The family had a Large Perfection of Wisdom Sutra, written on both sides of a plain silk cloth half a width wide and eight yards long. They also had several boxes of other sutras, with the Large Perfection of Wisdom Sutra mixed in among them. Since they had to flee in an emergency, they could not take everything with them. Worried about this important sutra, they didn't know which box it was in. In a hurry to leave, they had no time to search through each box. As they paced back and forth, sighing, the Large Perfection of Wisdom Sutra suddenly appeared by itself outside. Stunned and overjoyed, they picked it up and took it with them. From then on, the Zhou family treasured it for generations. Some say it still exists today, while another story claims that Zhou Song’s wife, Humu, had a silk copy of the Large Perfection of Wisdom Sutra written on fabric only five inches wide that contained the entire text.
