道恆无名

> The Dao is constant, yet it has no name.

楃唯小 而天下弗敢臣

> Even the smallest state, no one in the world dares to subdue it.

侯王若能守之 萬物將自賓 天地相合 以俞甘洛 民莫之令而自均焉

> If a ruler can hold to this way, all things will come to him of their own accord. Heaven and earth will harmonize, sending down sweet dew, and the people, without being ordered, will find their own balance.

始制有名 名亦既有 夫亦將知止 知止所以不殆

> When rules are established, names arise. Once names exist, one must know where to stop. Knowing where to stop is how to avoid danger.

俾道之在天下也 猶小浴之與江海也
