### 禮供聽法第二十六

> Chapter 26: Paying Respects and Hearing the Dharma

「復次，阿難！十方世界諸菩薩眾，為欲瞻禮極樂世界無量壽佛，各以香華幢幡寶蓋往詣佛所，恭敬供養，聽受經法，宣布道化，稱讚佛土功德莊嚴。」爾時世尊即說頌曰：

> "Furthermore, Ananda, countless Bodhisattvas from the worlds in all ten directions, wishing to pay homage to Amitayus Buddha in the Land of Ultimate Bliss, each bring incense, flowers, banners, and jeweled canopies to the Buddha's presence. They bow in reverence, make offerings, listen to and receive the teachings, spread the message of the Path, and praise the merits and adornments of that Buddha Land." Then the World-Honored One spoke these verses:

「東方諸佛剎， 數如恆河沙， 恆沙菩薩眾， 往禮無量壽，南西北四維， 上下亦復然。 咸以尊重心， 奉諸珍妙供，暢發和雅音， 歌嘆最勝尊， 究達神通慧， 遊入深法門。聞佛聖德名， 安隱得大利， 種種供養中， 勤修無懈倦。觀彼殊勝剎， 微妙難思議， 功德普莊嚴， 諸佛國難比，因發無上心， 願速成菩提。 應時無量尊， 微笑現金容，光明從口出， 徧照十方國， 迴光還繞佛， 三匝從頂入。菩薩見此光， 即證不退位， 時會一切眾， 互慶生歡喜。佛語梵雷震， 八音暢妙聲： 『十方來正士， 吾悉知彼願，志求嚴淨土， 受記當作佛。 覺了一切法， 猶如夢幻響，滿足諸妙願， 必成如是剎。 知土如影像， 恆發弘誓心，究竟菩薩道， 具諸功德本， 修勝菩提行， 受記當作佛。通達諸法性， 一切空無我， 專求淨佛土， 必成如是剎。聞法樂受行， 得至清淨處， 必於無量尊， 受記成等覺。無邊殊勝剎， 其佛本願力， 聞名欲往生， 自致不退轉。』菩薩興至願， 願己國無異， 普念度一切， 各發菩提心。捨彼輪迴身， 俱令登彼岸， 奉事萬億佛， 飛化徧諸剎，恭敬歡喜去， 還到安養國。」

> From all the Buddha-lands of the East, as numerous as the sands of the Ganges, bodhisattvas too numerous to count journey to pay homage to Infinite Life. The same is true in the South, West, and North, and in the four directions in between, above and below. With hearts full of reverence, they present wondrous and precious offerings, pour forth harmonious and elegant voices, singing praises of the most supreme honored one, who has fully mastered the supernatural powers and wisdom and entered the profound gate of Dharma. Hearing the Buddha's name of sacred virtue, they find peace and gain great benefit. Among all kinds of offerings, they practice diligently without weariness. They behold that supreme land, so subtle and inconceivable, adorned with merit everywhere— no other Buddha-land can compare. Thereupon they awaken the supreme mind and vow to quickly attain enlightenment. At that very moment, the Buddha of Infinite Life smiles and reveals his golden countenance. Light streams from his mouth, shining universally across the lands of the ten directions. The light returns and circles the Buddha three times, then enters through the crown of his head. Seeing this light, the bodhisattvas instantly attain the stage of non-regression. Then the entire assembly rejoices and celebrates together. The Buddha's words roll like Brahma's thunder, his eight-toned voice flowing with wondrous sound: "All you noble ones who have come from the ten directions, I know every one of your vows. You aspire to adorn a pure land and will receive the prophecy that you shall become Buddhas. Awakening to all phenomena as being like dreams, illusions, and echoes, you will fulfill all your wondrous vows and surely bring about such a land. Knowing lands to be like reflections, you forever give rise to vast vows, fulfilling the bodhisattva path to its end, possessing the roots of all merit, cultivating the supreme practice of enlightenment— you will receive the prophecy that you shall become Buddhas. Understanding the nature of all phenomena as entirely empty and without self, single-mindedly seeking a pure Buddha-land, you will surely bring about such a land. Those who hear the Dharma, joyfully accept and practice it, and reach the place of purity will, before the Buddha of Infinite Life, receive the prophecy and attain equal enlightenment. Boundless and supreme is that land, owing to the power of that Buddha's original vow. Those who hear his name and wish to be reborn there naturally reach the stage of non-regression." The bodhisattvas raise supreme vows, wishing their own lands to be no different, embracing all beings in their thoughts of liberation, each awakening the bodhi mind. Renouncing their bodies of rebirth in the cycle of suffering, they all reach the other shore together. They serve billions of Buddhas, flying and transforming throughout all lands, respectfully and joyfully they go, and return to the Land of Peace and Nourishment.
