### 聞經獲益第四十八

> Hearing the Sutra and Gaining Benefit, Chapter 48

爾時世尊說此經法，天人世間有萬二千那由他億眾生，遠離塵垢，得法眼淨。二十億眾生，得阿那含果。六千八百比丘，諸漏已盡，心得解脫。四十億菩薩，於無上菩提住不退轉，以弘誓功德而自莊嚴。二十五億眾生，得不退忍。四萬億那由他百千眾生，於無上菩提未曾發意，今始初發，種諸善根，願生極樂，見阿彌陀佛，皆當往生彼如來土，各於異方次第成佛，同名妙音如來。復有十方佛剎，若現在生及未來生，見阿彌陀佛者，各有八萬俱胝那由他人，得授記法忍，成無上菩提。彼諸有情，皆是阿彌陀佛宿願因緣，俱得往生極樂世界。爾時三千大千世界六種震動，并現種種希有神變，放大光明普照十方。復有諸天於虛空中作妙音樂，出隨喜聲。乃至色界諸天悉皆得聞，歎未曾有，無量妙花紛紛而降。尊者阿難、彌勒菩薩，及諸菩薩、聲聞、天龍八部，一切大眾聞佛所說，皆大歡喜，信受奉行。

> At that time, when the World-Honored One spoke this scripture, twelve thousand nayutas of billions of beings among gods and humans were freed from the dust of defilement and attained the pure Dharma-eye. Two billion beings attained the fruit of Non-Returning. Six thousand eight hundred monks, all their taints exhausted, attained liberation of mind. Four billion bodhisattvas dwelled irreversibly in unsurpassed enlightenment, adorned themselves with the merit of their great vows. Two and a half billion beings attained the patient acceptance of non-retrogression. Four trillion nayutas of hundreds of thousands of beings who had never before formed the intention for unsurpassed enlightenment now formed it for the first time, planted roots of goodness, vowed to be born in the Land of Ultimate Bliss, and to see Amitabha Buddha; all of them shall be reborn in that Tathagata's land and, each in a different direction, will in turn become Buddhas, all bearing the same name: Wonderful Sound Tathagata. Furthermore, in Buddha-lands throughout the ten directions, whether among those born now or to be born in the future, those who see Amitabha Buddha—each with eight hundred billion nayutas of people—will attain the patient acceptance of prophetic certification and realize unsurpassed enlightenment. All these sentient beings, through the causes and conditions of Amitabha Buddha's past vows, will all be reborn in the Land of Ultimate Bliss. At that time, the three-thousand-great-thousand world system trembled in six ways, and various rare and wondrous miracles appeared, emitting great radiance that illuminated the ten directions. Moreover, gods in the sky played wondrous music and voiced sounds of rejoicing. Even the gods of the Form Realm all heard it, praised what had never been, and countless exquisite flowers rained down. The Venerable Ananda, Bodhisattva Maitreya, and all the bodhisattvas, voice-hearers, gods, dragons, and the eight classes of beings—the entire great assembly—heard what the Buddha had said, rejoiced greatly, faithfully accepted it, and put it into practice.
