公詩妙天下當與天下共我欲私藏之奈此知者眾乃持海一滴施作無盡供莫生文字見句句是日用淨名丈室中熏爐亦冰雪持供雪山僧蘆花與秋月客有問法來跨門或未瞥𤑔尒懷中香聽此石友說

> The master's poetry is wondrous across the world— It should be shared with all. I wished to keep it for myself alone, But how, when so many already understand? So I take a single drop from the ocean And offer it as an endless gift. Do not cling to views of words— Each line is meant for daily use. In the quiet room of the layman, The incense burner is cool as snow. I offer it to the monk of the snowy mountains, Reed flowers and the autumn moon. When a guest comes seeking the Dharma, Crossing the threshold, perhaps not yet awakened— Light the incense you carry within, And listen to this stonehearted friend's words.
