Praise to Mañjuśrī Composed by Emperor Taizongwen of the Great Ming The wondrous auspices of the five-peaked mountains manifest, The true countenance of the seven Buddhas’ teacher appears. His wisdom universally illuminates the three realms, His compassion broadly saves all sentient beings. The golden lion’s roar shakes the great earth, The jeweled canopy’s light dispels the dense gloom. His vows are as vast as the ocean, profound and boundless, His merits are like Mount Sumeru, lofty and firm. With a single thought of compassion, he responds to all pleas, With a single word of wisdom, he breaks through all delusions. I now bow my head in reverence and offer praise, May he forever turn the Dharma wheel and spread its teachings far.
