### 清玄寺清真寺

> Clear Mystery Temple <note place="inline">Mosque</note>

清玄寺在城北二十五里案地當今觀音門外鍾山鄉梁大通元年置有古佛像建寺時所造也南唐改名清真寺云

> Qingxuan Temple is located twenty-five li north of the city.<note place="inline">According to local records, it now stands outside Guanyin Gate in Zhongshan Township.</note> It was founded in the first year of the Datong era during the Liang Dynasty, and houses an ancient Buddha statue made at the time of its construction. During the Southern Tang, it was renamed Qingshen Temple.

至正金陵新志清真寺舊名清玄寺在城北二十五里梁大通元年置後廢南唐保大中復置又引慶元志舊有梁時佛像建炎兵焚梁文曦清真寺詩有云遺像梁朝佛是也

> The Zhengzhi Jinling New Gazette records that the Qingzhen Mosque, formerly known as Qingxuan Temple, was located twenty-five li north of the city. It was established in the first year of the Datong era of the Liang Dynasty (527 CE) and later fell into disuse. It was re-established during the Baoda era of the Southern Tang Dynasty (943-957 CE). According to the Qingyuan Gazette, it once housed Buddhist statues from the Liang period; however, they were destroyed by fire during the Jianyan era (1127-1130 CE). As the poet Liang Wenxi wrote in his poem about the Qingzhen Mosque, "The relics of the Liang Dynasty Buddha statues"—this is indeed a reference to them.
