大和十七年後魏高祖遷都洛陽詔司空公穆亮營造宮室洛陽城門依魏晉舊名東面有三門北頭弟一門曰建春門次南曰東陽門次南曰青陽門南面有三門東頭弟一門曰開陽門次西曰平昌門次西曰宣陽門西面有四門南頭弟一門曰西明門次北曰西陽門次北曰閶闔門次北曰承明門北面有二門西頭曰大夏門東頭曰廣莫門一門有三道所謂九軌

> In the seventeenth year of the Dahe era, Emperor Gaozu of the Later Wei dynasty moved the capital to Luoyang and ordered Minister of Works Mu Liang to construct the palace and city. The gates of Luoyang were named after those of Wei and Jin dynasties. On the east side there were three gates: the first from the north was called Jianchun Gate; further south was Dongyang Gate; further south was Qingyang Gate. On the south side there were three gates: the first from the east was called Kaiyang Gate; further west was Pingchang Gate; further west was Xuanyang Gate. On the west side there were four gates: the first from the south was called Ximing Gate; further north was Xiyang Gate; further north was Changhe Gate; further north was Chengming Gate. On the north side there were two gates: the west one was called Daxia Gate; the east one was called Guangmo Gate. Each gate had three passageways, which is what is known as the "nine tracks."
