靈隱寺志八卷兩淮馬裕家藏本

> Chronicles of Lingyin Temple, Eight Volumes<note place="inline">Housed in the private collection of Ma Yu of Lianghuai</note>

國朝孫治撰，徐增重編。治，字宇台，仁和人。增，字子能，吳縣人。其書因明萬厤中昌黎白珩之志稍增損之，體例與他志略同，惟以宦遊寄寓之人概收之〈人物〉一門，則事涉創造，於義未安。

> Compiled by Sun Zhi of our dynasty, and revised by Xu Zeng. Sun Zhi, styled Yutai, was a native of Renhe. Xu Zeng, styled Zineng, was a native of Wuxian. The book was based on the gazetteer by Bai Heng of Changli during the Wanli period of the Ming dynasty, with some additions and deletions. Its structure is roughly similar to other gazetteers, but it includes all officials, travelers, and temporary residents in the "Biographies" section, which is an innovation and not entirely appropriate in principle.
