### 普明禪師牧牛圖頌附諸大禪師和頌目錄

普明原頌，雲棲蓮太師付梓序云：普明未詳何許人，則亦不知道場之所矣。辛丑冬，予來理坊事，壬寅夏，𨍏轢嚴居士將普明緣起及舊寺圖相示，始知因緣在此。居士既恢復寺基，初請玄微禪師，繼請明巖耆德，殿宇煥然，僚房俱備，將來欲成獅窟。余見諸方和頌，讀之不勝喜躍，效顰和之，并將圖頌和頌合成一冊流通。

> Master Puming’s original illustrated verses, with a preface by Master Yunqi Lian for publication, reads as follows: “The identity of Puming is unknown, and thus we also do not know the location of the practice ground. In the winter of the Xinchou year, I came to manage affairs at the monastery. In the summer of the Renyin year, the lay devotee Yan, with his ‘rolling through suffering,’ presented me with the origin story of Puming and a diagram of the old temple—only then did I realize that the karmic conditions resided here. After the lay devotee restored the monastery’s foundation, he first invited Chan Master Xuanwei, and then the virtuous elder Mingyan. The halls were restored to splendor, the living quarters were fully equipped, and they intended to establish it as a Lion’s Den. When I saw the responsive verses from various directions, I could not contain my joyful excitement. I composed my own complementary verses in imitation, and compiled the diagrams, verses, and responsive verses into a single edition for circulation.”
