### 施食文

> Offering Food to Hungry Ghosts

每日授日，用三淨盂，一盛飯、一盛水，夜靜散施

> Every day, using three clean bowls—one filled with rice, one with water—offer them quietly after nightfall.

「奉佛弟子某甲，運悲喜心，起平等行，以我本願力及佛加持力，以此淨食普施法界婆羅門仙、諸餓鬼、眾曠野鬼神、孤魂滯魄，咸赴我請，無一遺者，願汝一一各得摩伽陀國七七斛食，第恐凡語難通，當求三寶加被。」

> To the Buddhist disciple \[Name\], with a heart of compassion and joy, and conduct rooted in equality, relying on the power of my fundamental vow and the blessing of the Buddha, I offer this pure food universally to the celestial Brahmins across the Dharma Realm, to all hungry ghosts, to the spirits of the wilderness, and to solitary souls lingering in confusion. May they all come to my invitation without a single one being left behind. I pray that each of you receives the nourishment of seventy-seven bushels of food from the land of Magadha. Yet fearing that ordinary words cannot reach them, I seek the protection and empowerment of the Three Jewels.

「南無佛阤耶。南無達摩耶。南無僧伽耶。」三稱以右手用拇指與中指相捻微曲按器，誦甘露真言：

> "Homage to the Buddha. Homage to the Dharma. Homage to the Sangha."<note place="inline">Recite three times</note>With the right hand, gently press the vessel with the thumb and middle finger slightly bent together, and recite the Sweet Dew Mantra:

「曩謨蘇嚕婆曳達多薩多耶　怛你他唵蘇嚕蘇嚕婆耶　蘇嚕婆耶蘇嚕薩訶」三遍

> Namo Surubhaya Datta Sataya, Tadyatha Om Suru Suru Bhaya, Suru Bhaya Suru Svaha <note place="inline">Recite three times</note>

次誦變食真言：

「曩謨薩𭌯怛佗孽跢嚩路枳帝唵三跋羅三跋囉吽」七遍

「南無多寶如來。南無妙色身如來。南無廣博身如來。南無離怖畏如來」三稱，彈指七遍。即將淨水傾於食上，散施云：「汝等鬼神眾，我今施汝供，七粒遍十方，一切鬼神共。」

「汝佛子等！受我此法食，何異阿難餐？常歸佛法僧，頓捨貪癡恚，饑腸咸飽滿，業火頓清涼，念念菩提心，處處安樂國。」為如上緣，念聖號云出感字函第三卷

按《大藏》云：「阿難中夜忽見焰口餓鬼現前，謂言：『汝三日後死我趣中。』阿難惶怖，具陳白佛，佛授以施食之法，乃脫此厄。

「佛言：『若比丘、比丘尼、優婆塞、優婆夷能是施者，則同供養百千俱胝如來，非惟延祥益筭，抑亦成佛之因，厥功不淺。』」
