> Second Military Precepts Verse

牛未淳兮假牧童，牛淳歸踏夕陽紅，塵埋古鏡雖迷照，點絕澄潭猶翳空。一物不將須放下，萬機寢削急還攻，別峰相見德雲後，彌勒樓前又不同。

> The ox untamed, the herd boy is but a pretense— When the ox is tamed, he returns home, stepping into the crimson sunset. Though dust veils the ancient mirror and dims its light, Even the still, clear pool still clouds the void. Nothing is carried along; one must let go completely— All worldly thoughts must cease, yet still one must press on. After meeting Deyun on another peak, Before Maitreya's tower, things are different once more.
