> Chapter 112: Sumangala (Auspicious Sign)

一

> One

世間居上首，阿塔達西佛，彼由精舍出，走近沐浴池。

> The World's Supreme Leader, Buddha Atthadassi, Came forth from his monastery, and drew near the bathing pool.

二

> Second.

世尊飲水浴，出池纏一衣，世尊立彼處，舉目望四方。

> The World-Honored One drank water and bathed, then left the pool wrapped in a single robe. Standing there, he lifted his gaze and looked in all four directions.

> Three

走近至邊傍，拜見世導師，雀躍心內喜，時吾手彈指。

> I approached the edge, paid homage to the World Teacher, my heart leaping with joy, as I snapped my fingers in reverence.

> Four

如百光盛燃，輝耀如黃金，五種歌復踊，彈奏諸樂器。

> Like a hundred blazing flames, radiant as gold, five kinds of songs arise, and all instruments play.

> Five

神界或人間，任吾投何生，勝於一切者，吾之名聲大：

> In realms divine or human, wherever I may take birth, surpassing all, my renown shall be great:

> Six

「吾南無貴尊，最尊吾歸依，己身自歡喜，喜他聖牟尼。」

> "I pay homage to the most venerable one, my highest refuge. I find joy within myself, delighting in the holy sage."

> Seven

吾迎佛上坐，微笑向有德，奉事正覺尊，得生兜率天。

> I welcome the Buddha to take the seat, smiling toward the virtuous one, serving the perfectly enlightened honored one, to be reborn in the Tusita Heaven.

一千六百劫，一考九十二，大力具七寶，出為轉輪王。

> One thousand six hundred kalpas ago, one trial lasted ninety-two cycles. Possessing great strength and the seven treasures, he emerged as a universal emperor.
