### 第十一代明州天童大休宗玨禪師

> Chan Master Daxiu Zongjue, Eleventh Generation, Tiantong, Mingzhou

長蘆漁父迷青眼，奪得鉤錐好斗膽；十字街中問道人，臨風斫額休招款。劫前運步，丫角童兒吹玉簫於太白峰頭；世外橫身，蛾眉女子散天花於玲瓏巖畔。玅契非意，門槌與拍板，謾計家風；真證非傳，鏡水并秦山，何妨擊節？白雲向寒巖而斷，驚起膺公一棒之龍；明月隨夜船而來，釣歸乳竇千層之雪。

> A lone fisherman on the reed lake, eyes veiled in mist, boldly seizes the hook and line with daring heart. At the crossroads in town, he asks a seeker of the Way, yet lets the wind blow through his fingers, refusing to be drawn in. Before time itself, a child with unbound hair plays a jade flute atop the peak of Taibai; beyond the mundane world, a lady with crescent eyebrows scatters heavenly blossoms across the craggy cliffs of Linglong. True understanding is not a matter of intention; the door knocker and the clapper—why count them as family treasures? Genuine realization cannot be passed down; the mirrorlike water and the Qinshan peaks—what hinders a joyful clap? White clouds break against the cold cliffs, startling the dragon awakened by Elder Ying's staff. The bright moon drifts in with the night boat, fishing through layers of snow at Rusi.
